The service will begin with a couple of songs from our talented worship team. With a piano, guitar, violin, drum, and our faith-filled singers, Ascension incorporates a variety of music into our service, from traditional hymns to contemporary tunes.
After a reading from the Bible, our Lead Pastor Michael Kytka shares an exposition-style sermon on a select passage from the Scriptures. You can also expect a few “call and response” forms of liturgy as the church is engaged in a call to worship and personal confession. For a few examples of Pastor Michael’s preaching, click here.
Once a month, Ascension celebrates The Lord’s Supper (Communion or the Eucharist as you may know it) in order to remember Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our sins. If you are a baptized member of a gospel-believing church, we invite you to participate in this family meal. Otherwise, many of our regular attenders who are still asking questions about Jesus take the time to reflect on their own faith.
Post-service, we invite you to fellowship with us. Chat with fellow church-goers, ask the Pastor a question, or pray with someone off to the side in this special time. Throughout the week, we also invite you to join us for various fellowship opportunities such as Bible studies, movie nights, dinners, and other outings.
